MQM leader Altaf Hussain said that chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad
Chaudhury is welcome to visit Karachi whenever he wants and that
his party would not bring out any rally on that day. We would
instead welcome the CJ. He made this announcement during an
address to members of All Pakistan Muttahida Students Organisation,
and party workers in Pakistan, Europe and Canada on the 29th

MQM files reference
with Speaker seeking Imran Khan's
disqualification,

Muttahida Quami Movement Tuesday filed a reference with Speaker of
the National Assembly Chaudhry Amir Hussain, seeking
disqualification of Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan.
Addressing a press conference MQM Parliamentary Leader Dr Farooq
said the reference has been filed under Article 62,63 of the
Constitution and Public Representation Act 1976 which says no
person involved in extra-marital affairs can contest elections in
Pakistan. Farooq Sattar said that a copy of the US court verdict
in Site White case has been attached with the reference.

SUICIDAL ATTACK IN
CHARSADDA IS NAKED TERRORISM – ALTAF HUSSAIN
London
– 28th April 2007: MQM Founder & Leader Mr
Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the suicide bomb
attack in Charsadda, NWFP during the public meeting of
Pakistan Peoples Party (Sherpao). He has also expressed
his heartfelt grief and sorrow on the loss of several
lives as a result and on the injuries caused to others
including Federal Interior Minister Aftab Sherpao and his
son. He termed this suicide attack as naked terrorism and
the elements behind this attack are shedding the blood of
innocent people and they are not only the enemy of Islam
and Pakistan but also the enemy of the entire humanity. He
expressed his heartfelt sympathies and solidarity with the
Federal Interior Minister Aftab Sherpao, his son Sikander
Sherpao and all the workers of Peoples Party Sherpao
Group. He said that this suicide attack is a national
tragedy and me and all my companions of the MQM are
saddened and share the sorrow and grief of those who lost
their lives in this incident. He said that it is high time
now that the entire Pakistani nation gets united to
completely rid the Pakistan society of enemies of humanity
and the religious extremists. He prayed to the Almighty
Allah for the forgiveness of those who lost their lives
and for the early recovery of the injured. He demanded of
the President General Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister
Shoukat Aziz, Federal Cabinet and the people at the helm
of affairs to expose the elements behind this suicidal
attack and take firm action against them.

system is the fountainhead of feudal thought. He was
addressing a gathering of intellectuals and other
segment of society at the ground breaking ceremony of
‘Nasir-Arif Hussain Memorial Library in Federal B
area, Karachi. This library is being launched in the
memory of Mr. Hussain‘s elder brother Nasir Hussain
Shaheed and nephew Arif Hussain Shaheed.
